The integration of chatbots has been evolving vastly and it will continue to do so in the Middle East and North Africa with breakthrough applications in various business sectors.

International Data Corporation reported that in 2021, around $28.3 million or nearly 25% of all artificial Intelligence investments in MENA will be in use for AI solutions development. Businesses were urged to ramp up usage of chatbots to achieve their objectives at a significant cost reduction. As per a study by Juniper Research, companies in the Middle East that use chatbots could result in annual savings for retailers of up to USD439 million by the year 2023. Oracle reported over 50% of customers expect a business to be available 24/7 and Salesforce discovered that 69% of consumers prefer to use chatbots for the speed at which they can help communicate with a brand.

Businesses are also looking for more innovative ways to utilize the deployment of chatbots as most bots have a varying degree of intelligence. Based on Intercom, Chatbots are most commonly used for sales (41%), customer support (37%), and marketing (17%). Chatbots being the first point of contact between your company and lead can improve the sales process as a whole. With a projected market worth over USD 1.3 billion, chatbots
will be the key driving force for businesses come 2024.
