Rotating machinery (pumps, compressors, turbines, electric motors, etc) form a major part of most manufacturing and process industries (Refining, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, food and beverages, power generation, etc) and is one of the most important assets to be managed to ensure safe, reliable and profitable production. Failures on rotating machinery can have a high negative impact on production, may cause process safety risks and incidents and are also quite expensive to repair.
