The APAC Cleanroom Technology Market is valued at USD 2.1 billion, driven by rising demand from the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and semiconductor industries, where strict cleanliness standards are critical for product quality and safety. Countries such as China, Japan, and India lead the region due to their strong manufacturing sectors, technological investments, and key positions in global supply chains, all of which drive the need for advanced cleanroom solutions.
In Malaysia, significant investments are strengthening the country’s role in high-value cleanroom manufacturing. Green Excel Manufacturing (GEM) has launched a state-of-the-art facility in Taiping, Perak, producing cleanroom architectural products like wall panels, ceilings and windows. With RM95 million invested, the facility employs advanced automation to ensure efficiency and quality, while creating skilled jobs in Malaysia’s growing high-tech manufacturing sector. Similarly, Oliver Healthcare Packaging, a U.S.-based medical packaging company, has opened a 120,000-square-foot cleanroom facility in Johor, it’s largest in the Asia-Pacific region. With an investment of RM200 million, this plant enhances the regional supply chain for medical-grade packaging including pouches, lids, and roll stock for pharmaceutical and medical device companies. Together, these projects position Malaysia as a regional hub for cleanroom-driven manufacturing, supporting advanced industries such as healthcare and pharmaceuticals.
In Singapore, VDL Enabling Technologies Group (VDL ETG) has inaugurated its SQ1 facility in Jurong, investing S$100 million over five years. The 20,000 m² facility features offices, warehousing, logistics, and cleanroom manufacturing space for precision components used in semiconductor wafer fabrication equipment. This expansion aims to increase the company’s revenue from S$400 million to S$1 billion within five to six years. In the Middle East, Fabtech Technologies Cleanrooms has launched a UAE subsidiary and secured a ₹330 million contract for modular cleanrooms, further demonstrating the growing demand for specialized cleanroom infrastructure globally.
These developments demonstrate that cleanroom manufacturing is driving innovation and growth in the semiconductor, medical, and high-tech industries, fuelling confidence in expanding advanced operations across Asia and the Middle East. The Cleanroom Manufacturing conference by Trueventus accelerates this progress by uniting industry leaders to share insights, showcase cutting-edge solutions such as modular cleanrooms, advanced air filtration, and automation, and shape the future of safe, high-quality manufacturing.
