5th Annual Chief Risk Officer | 26th - 27th May 2027 | Singapore

OVERVIEW

The pressures bearing down on today’s Chief Risk Officers have compounded in both scale and speed. A 2026 International SOS survey found that 57% of risk leaders believe new threats are emerging faster than their organisations can respond to them and the gap is widening. Geopolitical fractures, climate volatility, energy market instability, and the unchecked proliferation of AI-enabled fraud have converged into a risk environment that defies conventional playbooks. Among CROs surveyed this year, 46 out of 50 flagged cybersecurity as an escalating concern, with AI-generated deepfakes and synthetic identity attacks representing an entirely new category of threat that most enterprise frameworks were never designed to absorb.

What is perhaps most telling is not the scale of external disruption, but the internal fragility it exposes. Despite nearly half of organisations having centralised risk structures in place, only 26% report genuine cross-functional collaboration and a holistic view of enterprise risk. More than two-thirds continue to struggle with siloed communication, a lack of integrated risk insights and structural weaknesses that become critically exposed the moment a crisis hits. The 2026 KPMG Global Third-Party Risk Management Survey of 851 organisations found that while many are making progress on regulatory compliance and cyber resilience, true integration across third-party ecosystems remains out of reach for most.

Looking ahead, organizations are moving toward advanced systems capable of autonomously monitoring risks, triggering alerts, and recommending remediation actions while CROs and CISOs face intensified personal accountability, including potential criminal charges and SEC enforcement for risk management failures. More than two-thirds of organizations still face moderate to strong barriers in managing risks, including a lack of integrated risk insights and siloed communication. To support leaders navigating this rapidly evolving environment, the 5th Annual Chief Risk Officer Summit by Trueventus provides an essential platform to exchange insights, explore emerging risk technologies, analyze industry case studies, and build meaningful connections with those shaping the future of enterprise resilience.
